Spirulina. Explore the properties of this remarkable algae

Spirulina is a blue-green micro algae, considered one of the oldest forms of life on Earth. It has a spiral shape (hence its name) and inhabits the areas of clean, warm lakes, rivers, springs and water reservoirs. For living needs good sunlight and optimum temperature, no fertilisers or plant products need to be used. The truth is that today the vast surface of the water on Earth is polluted, so if you want to keep the “purity” of the Spirulina, you also started to breed in special tanks, including Hawaii. Naturally occurring spirulina can be found in the waters of Taiwan, India, China and Japan, South America (Mexico), Africa (Chad’s region) and the aforementioned Hawaii. Currently it is the most tested (next to Chlorella) alga.
